Jackson Purchase Distillery will release its first retail bourbon in September at the Kentucky Bourbon Festival. After three years producing over 100,000 barrels for other brands, the western Kentucky distillery is launching its own label.

Led by Master Distiller Craig Beam and Assistant Master Distiller Terry Ballard, the distillery uses local grain and benefits from a warmer Mississippi River Valley climate that speeds aging. The debut release, Jackson Purchase Bourbon “Batch No.1 – Full Proof,” is a four-year-old, high-proof bourbon with notes of spice, banana, vanilla, caramel, and oak.
